 T he Sai Aadarsha Vidyamandir adapts the classroom to a child's world in terms of interests, size, and pace of younger children. Our school is designed with safety and comfort in mind for young girls and boys.

 T he room, materials, children and the teacher are all part of this environment. It is a comfortable and engaging place for students. The layout and the furnishings, including the sinks and bathroom, are child size to allow even the smallest children to be independent taking care of themselves and the room.

Our school is fitted with stimulating and eye-drawing equipment that provide a completely unique educational setting. The classroom is designed to be child-sized to allow children to freely choose their activities.

 T hese practical life exercises are the beginning point of our school environment (especially for small children). They will help children grow in independence, promote concentration and develop a spirit of friendliness and helpfulness.

Although the Practical Life Exercises may seem simple and commonplace, they are actually a very important part of the our school program. Each of the tasks helps a child to perfect his coordination so that he will be able to work later with the more intricate academic materials.

"Practical Life" Activities fall into three categories:

1. Manipulative Skills: Students begin pouring, carrying containers/books and sorting
2. Self-Development Skills: Students learn social graces, courtesy and personal care
3. Caring for the Environment: Students learn to care for the environment by sweeping, washing, dusting and polishing.
